Weightless Positioning Compensators allow a payload to be suspended overhead. They offer the ability to reposition the payload using a retractable cable. The compensator can be configured as a retractor or to maintain a constant position, allowing the operator to reposition the load as needed. RIL 1C, 2C, 4C and 5C use nylon cable.
